HomeHaven's Health and Wellness Committee presents seminars on health issues of concern to you as you grow older. Recent seminars have covered dementia, arthritis, nutrition, diabetes, heart failure, digestion, and cancer treatment. Members of the committee write monthly articles for our newsletter.

EXERCISE
HomeHaven can refer you to a number of exercise programs including low-impact aerobic classes, Tai Chi classes, Yoga classes, and individual exercise coaches. We have local walking groups, both vigorous and more leisurely, and we are always ready to respond to your suggestions.
REFERRALS TO HOME HEALTH CARE SERVICES
HomeHaven refers members to home care providers: Visiting Angels, VNA Lifetime Care at Home, and Assisted Living Services, Inc. provide a range of non-medical assistance; and All About You! and VNA Community Healthcare & Hospice provide skilled nursing and other medically indicated skilled services and therapies.
- Home nursing care following a surgical procedure or accident
- Physical, occupational, and speech therapy at home
- Home health aides
- Homemakers
- Medical social workers
- Assistance navigating other health-related providers in the community
These providers will directly bill Medicare or your other insurance for these services to the extent that they are covered.

QUALITY ASSESSMENT
The Health & Wellness Committee regularly monitors the performance of our preferred health providers to ensure that they are providing the quality of service we expect. We do this through regular contact with the providers and feedback from our members. Please let the Office know your experience with our preferred providers.
