Dr. Leo Cooney will share his perspective on what makes for happiness later in life. Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking presentation and discussion.

Dr. Leo Cooney is the Humana Foundation Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine. He established the program in Geriatrics at Yale. His priority is helping elderly individuals attain the highest level of independence possible and ensuring that medical residents and students are as prepared as possible to care for the multiple problems of the frail elderly.
Dr. Cooney was Chief of General Internal Medicine at Yale from 1993-1999 and Chief of Geriatrics from 1999-2012. He has received multiple teaching awards from Yale medical students and resident physicians and is a past President of the American Geriatrics Society. He retired in July 2020 and continues to have an active teaching role.
